Achim Heintze, MD
Dr. Heintze was born in Germany. After receiving his M.D. degree from the University of Hamburg in 1967, he completed a two year rotating internship which included a year of general surgery. Upon moving to the United States in 1969, he completed one year of Pathology residency followed by four years of training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Columbia University in New York. He joined the faculty at Columbia University for two years and established a department for high risk pregnancies at the Women's Hospital. He moved to Washington D.C. in 1977 and joined Foxhall OB/GYN Associates. His areas of interest include laparoscopic as well as vaginal surgery.
Dr. Heinze has two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys working with tools, including woodworking and home repair. He is also an avid tennis player, golfer, and skier.
