Dr. Sharon Malone, a native of Mobile, Alabama, has lived in Washington D.C. since 1988. She has been in private practice with Foxhall OB/GYN since 1992.

Dr. Malone graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 1981. She worked for three years as a systems engineer with IBM before attending medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. She then completed her residency at the George Washington University in obstetrics and gynecology.

She is married to Eric Holder, Jr. and has three children. Her interests include jazz, Brazilian music and tennis.
