Dr. Maro Sarafian attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology in 1990. She then attended Wayne State School of Medicine and received her M.D. in 1994. Following medical school, she did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital. Upon completion of residency in 1998, she decided to stay in the Washington DC area and joined Foxhall OB/GYN Associates. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Her interests include obstetrics as well as women’s health in general from adolescence through menopause.

Dr. Sarafian is married to Darrell Meyer and has three children. Her interests include photography, travel and scuba diving.
