Renée P. Stany, MD, FACOG

Dr. Renée Stany was born and raised in Kentucky. She attended Transylvania University, a small liberal arts college, for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where she received her MD degree with distinction. She began her OB/GYN residency at the University of Kentucky. After completion of her intern year, she moved to Baltimore to complete her residency training at the University of Maryland while her husband began his OB/GYN residency training at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Stany then went on to private practice in Fairfax, Virginia and then worked as a hospitalist for Inova Fairfax Hospital until 2009 when she joined Foxhall OB/GYN Associates.

Dr. Stany enjoys all realms of the field of obstetrics and gynecology and truly enjoys taking care of women of all ages. She is thrilled to be reentering private practice.

Dr. Stany is married to Dr. Michael Stany, a Gynecologic Oncologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and they have three children. Dr. Stany enjoys running, cooking and spending time with her family.
