Dear Foxhall Patients,

As we embark on 2010, we would like to take the opportunity to offer you and your family our best wishes for health and happiness in the New Year. We are honored you have chosen us for your obstetrical and gynecological care, and to ensure your experience at Foxhall continues to be positive, we would like to notify you of the upcoming changes that will occur in the next several months.

As of March 1, 2010, Dr. Beckerman and Dr. Sarafian will only participate with United Health Care and NCPPO insurance policies for their medical services rendered. The changes are being made in an effort to enhance patient care and satisfaction, along with providing greater personal attention and appointment availability. Dr. Beckerman and Dr. Sarafian will continue to provide both obstetric and gynecologic care at Foxhall OB/GYN. For those patients with insurance coverage outside of United Health Care and NCPPO, payment will be required at the time of service. Foxhall OB/GYN will submit the claim to your insurance carrier as an "out of network benefit" with instructions to reimburse you directly. Dr. Beckerman and Dr. Sarafian will see their own patients exclusively, and all in but rare cases, will be present for deliveries and gynecological emergencies. This new approach will allow each physician to manage fewer patients and thus provide easier access to appointments and more time and attention to those patients who choose to have their care with Drs. Beckerman and Sarafian.

Foxhall OB/GYN continues to be committed to providing the highest level of quality care that has made our practice the premier OB/GYN practice in Washington, DC for over 40 years. Dr. Lightfoote, Dr. Pardo, and Dr. Stany will continue to participate with most insurance carriers and will continue to provide the excellent care our patients are accustomed to at Foxhall OB/GYN Associates.
